The Norwegian School in London Limited is a registered English charity. The Board of Governors is the supreme body representing the owners.
The Charity operates a primary and lower secondary school. The Board is responsible for running The Norwegian School in London Limited in accordance with English and UK law in relevant areas. Furthermore, the Board is responsible to the Norwegian authorities ensuring that the school operates within the framework of the approval given by Private School Act. The Board is responsible for the overall financial situation at any time and to plan, implement and report financial plans, annual budget and accounts to UK and Norwegian authorities.
The Board is responsible for school property and is employer for all positions. The Board shall ensure that The Norwegian School in London Limited continues to emerge as an attractive educational offer and the existence of long-term plans regarding the operation of the school.
There should be a minimum of five Governors on the Board. Three or more Governors are appointed by the members of the charity. Two Governors are appointed by the Parents' Council.
